"I would hire back 80 percent of my great team
of dedicated public servants..."
of dedicated public servants..."
On p. 144 of GR, Sarah has been discussing the early days of her gubernatorial administration. She makes the following observations: "I remembered reading a survey once that said most CEOs, if they had to do things over again, would hire back only 20 percent of their original staff. For me it was the opposite: I would hire back 80 percent of my great team of dedicated public servants, including my office administrative staff.
"But the 20 percent on which I'd ask for a 'do-over,' well, they were doozies."
We observe in this brief passage the Governor's perfect balance: She manifests realistic humility, and also demonstrates, without boasting, her ability to judge character.
She concedes that not all of her hires were suitable (20%). On the other hand, 80% of them she would bring back.
Let us contemplate the implications of this passage if she decides, God willing, to seek the White House for 2016, and wins.
She will have TWO marvelous founts and sources upon which to draw for the bringing of real public servants into the executive branch of the Federal Government, into the Palin White House (wow, it feels good to say, or type, that: "Palin White House" :-) !!)
First of all, there are those 80% of tested, trusted, true, and loyal staffers.
Second, there is the wisdom and discretion that she has gained and won from her Alaskan gubernatorial experience with the other 20%. The Governor is very good, but not infallible, in her work. She is humble enough to learn from her past mistakes with personnel.
What follows is mere speculation, but I suspect that her ratio of genuine public servants versus "doozies," as she calls them, would change from the 80-20 proportion of Juneau days to something like 95-5 in her Washington days.
All things serve the Lord's Purposes, willy-nilly. Even the 20% of unsuitable people from her days as Governor served to hone and sharpen her Art of Discrimination in the judging of character.
When barack hussein obama came to Washington, he certainly did not come alone. No, he dragged in his woeful wake a whole crowd of the worst sort of people: An anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Western, anti-military-virtues mob of 60s-type radicals and wreckers and destroyers.
So too I believe that the Governor, if, by the Merciful Dispositions and Plan of Heaven, she comes to Washington to take that ancient Presidential Oath of Office and to SERVE as OUR President, will bring with her …
… hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of the best minds, the best spirits, the bravest and finest men and women in our nation to serve in Government:
Principled, fearless, patriotic, and devoted to Sarah, devoted to America, devoted to SarahAmerica!!
